OQ, Oman's integrated energy group, is hiring a Specialist Electrical for the maintenance department of OQ Base Industries (methanol and ammonia) in Salalah, reporting to the Manager Electrical. The role gives technical support to the electrical team: troubleshooting equipment to OEM standards, attending emergency call-outs and standby, supporting commissioning of new projects, running failure investigations and 'bad actor' reviews, building preventive and predictive maintenance plans, writing maintenance procedures and checklists, and coordinating with contractors and vendors. Work follows permit-to-work, lock-out/tag-out and HSSE rules. Practical notes: the job mixes field and office work and includes on-call duty. Show hands-on experience with HV switchgear, variable speed drives, transformers and SAP-PM in your CV. Arabic is listed as desirable, not required. Salary is not stated in the listing. Apply only through the official apply link on this page. Genuine employers do not ask for money at any stage of hiring; if anyone does, treat it as fraud.

Requirements

  • Experience with HV switchgear, UPS, motors, variable speed drives, transformers and power distribution
  • CMMS and SAP-PM expertise, plus failure analysis and Management of Change reviews
  • Excellent English; Arabic is desirable
