About NADRA:

In 1997, the country had been struggling for years to conduct a national population census after repeated delays. With every administrative unit having its own estimates, it was difficult to convince internal stakeholders and international development partners on demographical data estimates.

The Pakistan Armed Forces were called in aid of civil power by then Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, and Headquarters Army Air Defense Command was made responsible to coordinate the conduct of the 6th National Population Census. The project was assigned to Major General Zahid Ihsan. While the immediate mission was to conduct the census, Major General Zahid saw a greater opportunity “one that would not just count individuals but document and integrate them into a sustainable identity system.” Consequently, a centralized, secure and digitized national database was envisioned. The pioneering technical team comprised of Brigadier Muddassir Ashgar Khan (Signals), Lieutenant Colonel Syed Talmeez Abbas (Air Defense) and Major Suhail Iqbal (Engineers) while Brigadier Shahid Bahram (Army Services Corps), Lieutenant Colonel Naeem Ahmed Khan (Air Defense) and Major Ajmal Kahloon (Baloch) provided logistics support. This conceptual framework was approved by the Government of Pakistan, and a new department National Database Organization (NDO) was created under the Ministry of Interior in March 1998.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Resident from respective Tehsil as per CNIC/Domicile will be allowed for test against one location only.
2. Interested candidates must bring original documents i.e., Personal, Educational & Professional for test as per specified time. Requests for
   consideration after lapse of time will not be entertained.
3. 5 years age relaxation is already included in above age limit. No further request for relaxation shall be entertained.
4. Only shortlisted candidates after qualifying the test will be called for interview. The organization reserves the right to cancel
   advertised post or to accept/reject any application.
5. Employees serving in Government/Semi-Government departments must provide No Objection Certificate (NC) at the time of interview.
6. Attested degrees/certificates from Higher Education Commission (HECVrespective educational boards must be provided at the time of
   joining.
7. Candidate shall be disqualified it false information is provided at any stage.
8. Selected candidate will undergo a 6 months’ probation period, extendable subject to performance.
9. Selected candidate shall provide Medical Fitness and Character Certificates,
10. Appointment is being made against a specific NADRA Registration Centre (NRC): therefore, no request for transfer shall be
    entertained.
11. Electronic gadgets such as mobile phone, smart watch etc. will not be allowed during test/interview.
12. No TA/DA will be admissible for Test & Interview.
