The St. Regis Dubai The Palm (Marriott) is hiring a full-time Plumber for its engineering team on Palm Jumeirah. What you will do: - Answer guest repair requests and talk with guests to resolve maintenance issues. - Do preventive maintenance on tools and on kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. - Identify and operate shut-off valves and building utility shut-offs; keep maintenance stock and order parts as needed. - Build basic knowledge across air conditioning, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, kitchen equipment and general building work. - Do surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter changes, and clean the repair area. - Test, troubleshoot and do basic repairs on equipment. Practical notes: a driver’s licence is required. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, some experience in general maintenance and surface preparation/painting, and hotel engineering or maintenance experience as a plus.
